1:1 sessions For a customized, safe and effective program to be developed all clients have their initial assessment and first 3-4 sessions with a Physiotherapist. Following this, the program is practised independently in the studio (see below), or you may wish to continue with one:one supervision. Individual Sessions These sessions enable you to work at your program for up to one hour under supervision of the Physiotherapist or Instructor. The studio can accommodate up to 8 people under these conditions. Bookings are essential. As these sessions are supervised by the Physiotherapist they may be claimable as Group Physiotherapy with some Private Health Insurance Funds. Pregnancy Classes Pilates Bayside offers antenatal classes specifically tailored to expectant mums. A physiotherapy assessment and medical clearance (see Forms) is required prior to commencement. Staff closely monitor your condition during your developing months and will tailor the exercise classes specifically for your individual needs. Our small class numbers are necessary to ensure close supervision of clients. Classes are scheduled at Monday evening 6pm, Wednesday evening 6pm and 7pm, Saturday morning at 9am and 10.30am. Fitness Classes For people wanting to undertake Pilates as part if their overall fitness regime. Classes are run by a qualified Pilates Instructor, maximum 3 people, one hour and half hour classes available. Classes are scheduled on a Wednesday at 9.30 and 11.30 am and Friday at 12pm. Real Time Ultrasound (RTUS) RTUS is a non-invasive method for assessing and examining internal musculature. It is an excellent feedback tool for those people who are unsure of how to activate these muscles or who need further examination and training in this area. The ultrasound is a standard part of our initial assessment, and may also be used in review sessions to reassess and assist muscle training. WC/TAC At this time we are no longer receiving WC or TAC clients. This decision will be reviewed in 2010. |
